anyone catch the larki punjaban musical premier on ptv prime last night (usa)??!!
some highlights 4 those who missed it and r interested:
-the entire cast (minus baber ali) was present, including SAIMA!
-saima even explained why she usually misses such shows. her reason: she does not like the spotlight and shys away from such events. however she is MOST PROUD of this movie, and so she felt she should help promote is as much as possible and decided to come! btw....she presented herself as a VERY classy lady. one minor example: shamyl khan danced around her while she stood still and simply smiled. (had this been somebody like meera in her place, with all that attention on her we would have had a mujra. lol) but saima has some class!
-among other people present: abrar, jawad ahmed, naghmana jaffery, zain, sam (new singer) aawish, papu samrat (dancer), and a bunch of senior artists.
-sayed noor CLEARLY stated in udru (when asked who his favorite actor/actress are that: 'only ask me abt my favorite actress!' i'm sure you all know what he meant by that, and for those who dont - he meant saima, who has forever been linked to him as his 2nd wife. lol.
-according to the actor shamyl khan, the movie will be released in europe on SEPT. 5 or 6 2003.
-this was the FIRST EVER premier for a pakistani movie, and the first ever pakistani movie to have its music released BEFORE the movie comes to theatres. the entire thing was done very professionally. a job well done...
-they said this movie is PURELY a family movie and will help to turn the bad string of luck that has recently hit lollywood...
and that was basically it! saima said it was her best work, shamyl said he worked real hard, sayed noor said it contains a bunch of firsts, and everyone seemed confident that this movie will do TREMENDOUS business. i think they're right....

SHAHRUKH jee, you're half right. moammar can't act when it comes to punjabi action movies. lol. but he's okay 4 those romantic roles. him and saima were a dynaimc duo at one point. (chooriyan, mendhi wale hath, nikki jaee haan etc.). he was okay in these...
and shujaslam, you're right....ali tabish (thats his name) could be a decent hero. not shamyl khan (larki punjaban)!

lol. the slap looked real 2 me t.o. raps! it must have killed. lol.
and madiha718, saas bhi ek ma hai is only 7 episodes in, so if u hurry u could still catch on! the girl who got slapped - we're led to beleive she is dead, now! but u can still see the slap on the commercials.
u should watch this drama tho. its abt a girl (veena malik) who marries into a disfunctional family on purpose (plus her husband is sharif...its only his family which is stuck up!) and tries to 'fix' them! only problem is...her plan backfires...atleast so far! so she's getting the screwjob! cool drama!

i watched the Larki Punjaban Premier on PTVPrime and is was good . . but not as that galmouras . . and i saw when he danced around saima . . and i thing she would have looked good if she danced aswell with him . .. . they said it was coming out on september 5 but its not out here in london . . dose anyone know if it is

hey umair16! its been a while since we talked eh?!
i'm glad u saw the LP premier show! u're right it was not THAT glamourous, but for a pakistani movie, thats as good as it gets. lol. as 4 saima not dancing with shamyl....you might be right. but for me, its a good thing she did not dance. she looked more classy that way. and besides, she is twice shamyl's age! it would look awkward for her to dance with him, in fornt of senior artists who were in attendence! lol. but whats done is done. saima presented herself nicely, and she didn't come off like meera and resham and these ladies usually do. she seems like what everyone says about her...very quiet and keeps 2 herself. i like her that way! wouldn't u agree?! she stands out!
as 4 the movie itself, belive it or not bro, i heard it might be delayed AGAIN until eid. i'm not 100% sure, but its possible. otherwise sept. 26th looks like the target date.

i ain't into guys so i won't comment on ali tabish. lol. but he does look like more of a 'hero' than shamyl khan (dude from LP)! aur mr. tabish ke baal chotay hain ab! watch the drama, and you'll see!

in all seriousness tho peeps....according to the post entitled 'LAAJ: A GREAT FAILURE', laaj has failed to deliver. b4 its release, this movie and larki punjaban were two movies that the industry was banking/depending on. now that laaj has bitten the dust, that means lollywood's fate rests on the shoulders of saima and her larki punjaban!!!! can u feel the pressure?! this delay better be worth it, sayed noor!
i'm confident tho...saima-noor connection saved lollywood once with chooriyan, and they'll do it again with LP!!! u heard it here first! lol.
