Branches brittle on tree of life,
rings of lifetime pain and strife.
Standing tall reaches to sky high,
years come and go and pass on by.
Sound of spring new found love,
caressed heart on wings of dove.
Tears of sorrow mid April's rain,
soaked within this heart of pain.
Laughter rings in summer breeze,
echo throughout the hills and leas.
Joyful vibrations disappear,
sounds of silence sadness near.
Autumn beauty colorful hues,
so much in love so much to lose.
A season when love falls away,
branches bare neath clouds of gray.
Winter wonder glistening snow,
hearts ablaze mid fireside glow.
Blizzard blankets, hearts grow cold,
