As autumn
leaves create new brilliance,
nature comes to life in the forest.
Umbrellas of crimson and gold adorn treetops
amid splendor, woodlands come to life,
seasonal change comes forth,
bringing joy.

forage for nuts, berries,
as they scamper and run to and fro.
Gathering of ganders for southern flight begins,
soon the mill pond will be void of fowl,
only silence will greet
the red dawn.

Harvest moon
shine down upon wheat fields
of amber as it sways in shadows.
Crops to reap and sow underneath paled moonlight,
gathering their blessed abundance,
they stop, give thanks to God
