Ingredients Used: Chamomile

Description: Chamomile compresses have long been used to keep wounds from becoming infected. Some studies show that chamomile oil applied to the skin reduces the time required for burns to heal. The herb also has anti-inflammatory action, thanks to the azulene compounds it contains. The herb has also been shown to kill Candida Albicans, the yeast fungi that causes vaginal infections as well as staphylococcus bacteria. Chamomile also impairs replication of the polio virus.

How To Take: Use 2-3 heaping teaspoons per cup of boiling water. Steep for 10 to 20 minutes, then strain. Allow to cool before applying to a clean cloth and bathing the infected skin area

Not To Use With: Should not be taken internally by pregnant or nursing women. Should be avoided by individuals who have previously experienced anaphylaxis from ragweed which is a botanical relative of chamomile.

Side Effects: Chamomile poses no significant health hazards.

Expected Results: Infection should heal in a normal time frame
