Rain Rain Rain,
Up above from the skies
u come,
As drops of joy
As drops of sorrow
As a shower of blessing from the heavens.

Rain Rain Rain,
Pitter patter pitter patter
on the window panes,
thunder and lightning fill up the skies
creating an orchestral symphony.

Rain Rain Rain,
With wind, sun and clouds,
seven colors u bring together
and joy in our hearts.

Rain Rain Rain
A miracle to a drought
A curse when in glut,
tiny silver crystals trickles from up above.

Rapunzel says
THROUGH THE WINDOW, I'M EXPERIENCING THE RAIN
I SWEAR I CAN FEEL THEIR PAIN

IF ONLY I HAD WINGS I WOULD FLY LIKE A BIRD LOOKING DOWN ON YOU AND ME
IF ONLY I HAD WINGS I WOULD FLY SO HIGH I'D BE LOOKING DOWN LOOKING DOWN YA
IF ONLY I HAD WINGS IF ONLY I COULD FLY

SHADES OF DISCONTENT HAVE TORN ME FROM MY HOUSE
AND AS I TRY TO SLEEP MY MIND FADES IN AND OUT
SECOND GLANCES, NO ROMANCES, I HAVE TAKEN MY CHANCES
WHEN I FLY TOO… HIGH

IF ONLY I HAD WINGS
I WOULD FLY LIKE A BIRD LOOKING DOWN ON YOU AND ME

IF ONLY I HAD WINGS I WOULD'D FLY SO HIGH
I'D BE LOOKING DOWN , LOOKING DOWN

IF ONLY I COULD FLY IF ONLY I HAD WINGS
I'D BE LOOKING DOWN ON YOU AND ME

IF ONLY I HAD WINGS IF ONLY I COULD FLY

Rapunzel says

'It's Raining! It's Raining! '

Clouds gather,
And the sky goes black.
Children scream and jump with glee.
'It's raining! It's raining! ' shouts a boy of about five,
Who's never felt rain in his life.

Everyone runs out, with cups and barrels, bowls and pots,
to collect as much water as they can.
Now they can drink clean water at last.
It rains for days on end and causes a flood.

The rain that once brought hope
Has now brought sorrow and fear.
People drown.
Houses are washed away, into a never-ending river.

The dry desiccated land that once was,
Is now an opaque tarn,
The dehydrated fields, a murky pool with bodies of starved men, women, and children floating about.

Now we look back at the melodious sound of a child.
A happy child.
A happy child of about five, crying out with joy,
'It's raining! It's raining! '

“It Could Be Raining On The Moon”

In my fertile mind….,
I’m humming your favorite tune….,
But don’t tell the creature….,
From the black lagoon….,
Cause I don’t want her to know….,
It Could Be Raining On The Moon…..! ! !

Rapunzel says
Of Rainfall And Wind

The river bank high roars on it's way down
Under the bridge on the high road near the old country town
And the tall trees are soughing in the wind and the rain
The things i once knew i re-visit again,
The gurglings of the water in the roadside drain
And the calls of the jackdaws with me does remain
These memories i brought with me from far away
Of rainfall and wind on a wild Autumn day,
The stream from the old hill through my memory flow
My past it goes with me to where-ever i go
Cattle in the wet and bare fields are bellowing for hay
And on the tall beech tree in jet black and gray
The gray crow is cawing near where the river roars by
And the low dark clouds of rain creep through the morning sky.

Rapunzel says

Crimson Rainfall

I drift to the place the place
My imaginary wind whispered place*
Where the raindrops as they’re falling tell a story*
Falling from blood stained eyes turning to crimson pain
Every raindropp tells a story
Down they fall all a blur tell me tell me of your hurt
A love so deep as it slashes splitting wrists as it shards to the ground already broken
The gently streaming of love’s pain lullaby
All so many crimson of so many traces
Tell the story tell the story of loves pain lullaby
One the red dropp cried from a broken eye of a shattered soul falling turning to crimson dropp of pain.
Can’t stay can’t live gata fall gata bleed
Must get it out can’t stay in gata fall gata fall
Ice, cold, death, hate
Never too old never too late.
Blood streams never stopping ever flowing
Rain falls down cry cry cry
Don’t know why feel like I’m to die
He loved left for a clean un-stained dry face
No love in this cold desolate rain filled place
Crimson flowing at a slow steady lullaby pace
Put me to sleep Put me to sleep
In my imaginary wind whispered place
Where the raindrops as they’re falling tell a story
I wake, blood flow, heart no glow
I wake to find it wasn’t a dream

Rapunzel says
Rainfall

Patting the roads,
With its silver rods
It makes rivulets
With precious droplets.
Sometimes only a trickle
Sometimes a waterfall
It falls and cools the desert in our mind.
It comes with the drum of thunder
And make the peacocks wonder.
It lashes against the window pane
And washes away my pain.
The howling wind and the dancing trees
Make the rain much beautiful.
Over the roof with a 'pittar-patter'
On the ground with a ' tit- tat-tit'
It falls down with its music.
Rainfall- it showers missiles
But brings down peace to our mind.

Rapunzel says
Hear The Rain

     The thunder claps
The lightning flashes
The rain comes

Torrents of water
Streaming down
From the heavens

People grumble
Umbrellas pop open
Like flowers in spring

Others are gloomy
Dislike the cold
But no, not I

I love the rain
The sound it makes
Splish, splash

I love the mud
Jumping in puddles
Splish, splash

I love to lie still
Happily listening
To the rain
Splish.
Splash.

Rapunzel says
Thunder and Lightening and Rain

bring on the thunder
and bring on the rain
the lightnening a wonder
too good to be seen
the thunder only a few seconds
the lightening flashing as it beckons
the rain is everlasting
the thunder returns with a blasting
A calm! the storm has ended
the messge to the people having been sended
that they don't control all on this earth
humbling some and showing their worth
other's don't listen so this strom will rage again
barreling ahead in anger like a freight train
if only humans could look into the eye of the storm
and see the surreal calm and life's true form

Rapunzel says
Grimacing Rain

It was raining and raining for hours nonstop
nobody knows when to go back,
As if it was grimacing in silence like dark night
It may take time to talk again, for a while.

Night may break in to day, hours into minutes
but those silence may not shredded to rain of tears
And that hours of rain was the tears of silence
that rippled into voice of grimacing - protracted.

If I asked to reason out curves of silence
It may cajole to suggest inkling of love provoking-
For the tears fallen in rain, of thosa unbeaten songs
lest silence may censure grimacing.

Rapunzel says

All Colors Cry In Rain

The air smells bitterly of dying things.
Wind blows gray trees into a tragic blur,
I have no name for any leaf that falls.
I only know the colors cry in rain.

The dusk breaks in blue fragments at my feet.
Birds splatter skypanes with india ink.
Smoke from the chimney forms your Slavic face,
Your touch completes the fenceposts of my mind.

Invisible Rainfall!

A late summers day the sky so gray
Drizzled rain from morn' til night fall

An ever impassioned vision
planted deep within my brain

Words like seeds infused internally
the sojourn of reconnaissance pen see

How does one describe such moment
Passionate whisper...remembrance

a souls heart has implanted deep
all that is the essence I need

Rapunzel says

Rain Of My Heart

I hear the rain of my heart,
it doesn't neglect to play its part.
I can't face the night alone,
memories haunt this house - my fears are shown.
Can't stop thinking of you,
when we wore love like it was brand new.

Rapunzel says

     Rain is Falling

Rain, rain, its always raining,
Rain, rain, I end up saying,
Rain, rain, please go away now,
Rain, rain, just leave right now,
Rain, rain, don’t know how,
I don’t care how,
To make my rainy day just go away…

So I stand,
in the pouring rain,
So I can,
feel the growing pain,
Of having rain,
coming down like the Armageddon flame.

I can see raindrops playing their game,
Even though they look the same,
I know that there is more to rain……

Rapunzel says

     flimsy like paper lace

Flimsy like a lace paper window pane
Rattled in a heavy wind blown rain
The rain
The rain came quickly down
And the shutters leaked as they tried in vain
To curb the pelting sound
The rain the rain falls wet and cold
And weakens the hillside ground
Which then gives way and
Tumults over the wall which cannot hold
The rain the rain
When will it end
The rain will never cease
The rain will someday wash our weary souls I am told
The rain the rain the rain the rain

Rapunzel says
The First Rain by Yehuda Amichai

The first rain reminds me
Of the rising summer dust.
The rain doesn't remember the rain of yesteryear.
A year is a trained beast with no memories.
Soon you will again wear your harnesses,
Beautiful and embroidered, to hold
Sheer stockings: you
Mare and harnesser in one body.

The white panic of soft flesh
In the panic of a sudden vision
Of ancient saints.

Rapunzel says
Beloved, Let Us Once More Praise The Rain by Conrad Aiken

Beloved, let us once more praise the rain.
Let us discover some new alphabet,
For this, the often praised; and be ourselves,
The rain, the chickweed, and the burdock leaf,
The green-white privet flower, the spotted stone,
And all that welcomes the rain; the sparrow too,—
Who watches with a hard eye from seclusion,
Beneath the elm-tree bough, till rain is done.
There is an oriole who, upside down,
Hangs at his nest, and flicks an orange wing,—
Under a tree as dead and still as lead;
There is a single leaf, in all this heaven
Of leaves, which rain has loosened from its twig:
The stem breaks, and it falls, but it is caught
Upon a sister leaf, and thus she hangs;
There is an acorn cup, beside a mushroom
Which catches three drops from the stooping cloud.
The timid bee goes back to the hive; the fly
Under the broad leaf of the hollyhock
Perpends stupid with cold; the raindark snail
Surveys the wet world from a watery stone...
And still the syllables of water whisper:
The wheel of cloud whirs slowly: while we wait
In the dark room; and in your heart I find
One silver raindrop,—on a hawthorn leaf,—
Orion in a cobweb, and the World.

Rapunzel says
Song For The Rainy Season by Elizabeth Bishop
Hidden, oh hidden
in the high fog
the house we live in,
beneath the magnetic rock,
rain-, rainbow-ridden,
where blood-black
bromelias, lichens,
owls, and the lint
of the waterfalls cling,
familiar, unbidden.

In a dim age
of water
the brook sings loud
from a rib cage
of giant fern; vapor
climbs up the thick growth
effortlessly, turns back,
holding them both,
house and rock,
in a private cloud.

At night, on the roof,
blind drops crawl
and the ordinary brown
owl gives us proof
he can count:
five times--always five--
he stamps and takes off
after the fat frogs that,
shrilling for love,
clamber and mount.

House, open house
to the white dew
and the milk-white sunrise
kind to the eyes,
to membership
of silver fish, mouse,
bookworms,
big moths; with a wall
for the mildew's
ignorant map;

darkened and tarnished
by the warm touch
of the warm breath,
maculate, cherished;
rejoice! For a later
era will differ.
(O difference that kills
or intimidates, much
of all our small shadowy
life!) Without water

the great rock will stare
unmagnetized, bare,
no longer wearing
rainbows or rain,
the forgiving air
and the high fog gone;
the owls will move on
and the several
waterfalls shrivel
in the steady sun.

Rapunzel says
to write truthfully about the rain

I must be here when the rain falls
heavily and when the waters rise
above canals and manholes
where what i see is water everywhere
when the rain does not stop
i must cross this street to another
street taking the middle of this flooded ways
without an umbrella
without my clothes on

the rain falls in all freedom
to the pores of my body
penetrating the thickness of my hair
my mouth drinks its drops
my ears take some more

i may be blinded and even be deaf
let the rain fall freely & heavily on my body

only then can i truthfully write about this rain
this walk this wetness this freedom this oneness
on the world that cries on these drops these tears

Rapunzel says
As rain falls

As rain falls upon me, it hits every wound healing one by one
i lay there and rain falls whispering in my ear telling me to enjoy the eternal life it has
healing my wounds that have been tormented and rejected
It tells me don't feel pain, let it banish from your soul
Let it crumble in your head
Rain falls down and flashes an eternal light upon me
As i become the unbroken angel of rain
Discovering the wondrous powers of rain
As it tells me, you will never feel pain, you feel joy
