Silence waits neath moon's shadow,
twilight overlays city street.
Stars aglow, souls move to and fro,
minus sound of shuffling feet.

Come drift and sail away with me,
sea of darkness minus rill of light.
Invade my slumber of silence,
as skyline fades from sight.

Let quietude wash over me,
deep in subconscious of mind.
Journey within nightime voyage,
feel peace, serenity unwind.

Taken to places we all long for,
as sleep takes we soar.
Silence broken at day break,
return to city bustle and roar.
