Free Falling

Wings now clipped beyond repair,
into a freefall of despair.
So long adrift on winged flight,
losing way in the darkest night.

With blinding tears, I go off coarse,
fall into heartache and remorse.
Happier times are all but gone,
Gone with the sunset, far beyond.
