Affairs of the heart affect our mood,
many times too often misconstrued.
Falling in and out of love too fast,
blueprint for failure, it will not last.

when too easily we are smitten.
Why do fools fall in love everyday,
so foolishly give their heart away?

even when our love is spurned.
Do not listen, lose common sense,
get lost in sorrow and pretense.

Soon we forget as the heart heals,
heartache and pain and how it feels.
Write in stone across broken hearts,
put daily reminders as feeling starts.
