One can expect fireworks when King Khan will meet the King of comedy Priyadarshan. The two have finally got together for a film which is titled Billoo Barber. However, it is Irrfan Khan who is essaying the title role in the film.
The plot of Billoo Barber is inspired by an year old Malayalam Cinema hit Kadha Parayumbol starring Sreenivasan and Mamooty in the leading roles.
Billoo (Irrfan Khan) is a village barber, whose professional life is in doldrums as he has not been able to upgrade himself with the changing times.
It is only when Shah Rukh Khan – the superstar of Bollywood visits his village to shoot a film, that Billoo becomes highly respected. The reason behind the respect is that Shah Rukh was Billo’s school friend.
However, amidst the unclaimed glory, Billoo fears the fact that the star actor may fail to recognise him. Billoo feels that he will look inferior in front of Shah Rukh.
Juhi Chawla essays the role of Billoo’s wife in the film, which also has special appearances from Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.
