It was one and a half year ago when I stepped in the cinema at Macleod Road, where the heart of lollywood lies. My choice was nothing other than the mega block buster ‘Majajan’. At that time the movie was celebrating its second year of continuous exhibition in Odeon cinema. My excitement was touching the skies to watch the pride of Pakistan film industry. But all of my excitement and enthusiasm shattered as soon as I entered the hall. The hall was so miserable with watermarks and hanging electric wires on the walls as it was giving the impression of any Hollywood horror flick.
I hoped as soon as the movie will start all criticism will vanish and my family will be so involved in the movie. I was the only victim of the criticism as I tried my best to drag my family to the ‘cinema’ to watch ‘Pakistani movie’. As the movie started all of my hopes turned false. The screen was so poor that the picture was so blurred coupled with the terrible sound system. As a critique I could recognised the movie of really high standard but I found it so hard to convince any member of my family.
I wonder how Majajan can complete its 3 years in this crap cinema and the show still goes on.....
