What kind of conviction in ALLAH do you have???
THE GRADES OF CONVICTION
Imam Hasan Al Banna has described how iman can be of three levels
1) Blind faith, which is taken for granted and effectively inherited from one's parents. In a stable society, whilst this may remain, it is easily shaken when challenged
2) A strong conviction based upon research, study and reflection. This level of iman is a good starting point for a Muslim who is embarking on the path of perfecting iman. Due to his reasoned conviction, he is secure in his belief, though the light of iman may not be shining very brightly in him yet.
3) A reasoned belief which has been perfected and polished through consistent devotion, worship and remembrance of Allah; through reading of the Qur'an and sacrificing and struggling for the sake of Allah. Everything is seen through the lens of iman and all his behaviour reflects the light of his faith.
