Raveena Tandon, the actress who sizzled in mast mast item numbers of Bollywood with her hot short outfits, would prefer to go ethnic as far as her wedding outfit is concerned.
Her bridal wear for the wedding scheduled somewhere in February 2004, will be designed by 26-year-old Delhi based designer Manav Gangwani. A close friend to Raveena, though Manav hasn't designed for any of her films, he has crafted many of her off-screen formals.
For the D-day, Raveena would be wearing a maroon lehanga, which is actually her mother's wedding lehanga. It will be entirely reworked upon with real gold and embellished with some precious stones to match the uncut diamonds she will wear! The zardozi wire will be spun from real gold. Also, Manav will be working on classic brocade for her mehendi function and gold with kundan embroidery for her sangeet ceremony. Detailed discussions are on for the final look, make-up and jewelry.
Incidentally, Manav's first show in Mumbai on the fall/winter collection “Desire – The Essence of Royalty” will be held on November 24, wherein Soha Khan (sister of Saif Ali Khan) will walk on the ramp for the first time. His boutique in Juhu, Kimaya, is already a hit among the likes of Zeenat Aman, Sridevi and Sameera Reddy
