The Washington Capitals are enjoying their best stretch of the season, but most of that success has come on the road.

been in net for each of the last eight games, posting a 1.84 goals-against
average. Hes had plenty of help from his teammates, facing an average of 25.4
shots in the past five games. I think were doing what weve wanted to do all
season, but were now finding a way to do it consistently, Holtby said. Were
using our speed and size to our advantage. There arent a lot of teams who can
match up with us there. We now know its our strength. Saturdays win improved the
Capitals to 5-0-1 on the road during their eight-game streak. Their 10 road wins
ties them with New York Islanders for the most in the Eastern Conference.
Conversely, Washington (16-10-6) has won six of 15 home games (6-5-4), with only
New Jersey (four) owning fewer home victories in the East. Weve got to be good

the post so much. I swear hes hit 15 or 20 goal posts this year. Ovechkin, like
the rest of his teammates, hasnt had much success against the Senators lately.
The Capitals have lost the last seven meetings, scoring one goal or none in four
