Fabolous links up with sneaker new balance black retailer Villa to release 4 exclusive sneakers from 4 different footwear brands as a part of the upcoming “Fabolous Week”, a spin-off of the store’s annual “Perfect Week”. New Balance has joined forces with sneaker boutique Packer to release a new colorway of the iconic 999 silhouette, titled “CML.” Waxed laces, a White ABZORB cushioned/C-Cap midsole and semi-translucent outsole complete the look of the shoe. “With Fabolous setting trends for rhymes and wardrobe, he was a perfect choice to help tell the stories of our latest exclusive products,” Villa said of the partnership, which will see the release of exclusive colorways from Reebok, Timberland, New Balance and Converse. The Reebok Question “Liberty” drops on November 21st for $170. It is inspired by American history and the iconic international symbol of freedom that was rung when the Continental Congress signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Villa has teamed up with hip-hop legend and former throwback jersey connoisseur Fabolous for a special week-long collaborative extravaganza that will see four special edition pairs drop throughout this week, each with its own unique thematic elements and premium construction. The New Balance 999 “Boathouse Row” will release on November 23rd for $130. It is inspired by one of Philadelphia’s most iconic sites, Boathouse Row. The colors used correlate with the colors you’d see in the boat houses at Boathouse Row. New Balance celebrates the 30th anniversary of its 999 silhouette with two premium editions in “White” and “Grey,” crafted in leather and nubuck, respectively. Each pair sports a deconstructed design, giving the sneakers a lightweight composition that is seamless and breathable, made even more so via perforations throughout. The Reebok shoes debuted on Monday, while the Timberland boots made their arrival the following day. The New Balances hit stores today (Nov. 23), and be on the lookout for the Converses, which will drop tomorrow (Nov. 24) at a special event, reports HYPEBEAST.
It features an upper done in tan nappy new balance women suede to replicate the look and texture of camel hair, a micro-perforated pigskin toe box, and premium nubuck details at the tongue and heel tab. For those in search of something a little more rugged, Villa will be releasing a Timberland 6-inch Premium Boot in a soft light blue colorway. These boots are $200 and will drop on Tuesday. The collaborations range from the 20th-anniversary celebration of the Reebok Question Mid, a head-turning take on the iconic Timberland 6? Boot, a nautical inspiration atop the New Balance 999, and the return of a Converse icon. Each pair manages to include inspirations from the city of Philadelphia as well as a mixture of Fabolous’s eclectic tastes and style conscious aesthetic. The Converse Naturel Chuck Taylor High will release on November 24th for $65. Designed by Artist Naturel, aka Lawrence Atoigue, Naturel uses his contemporary flair on the classic silhouette to create a shoe influenced by hip-hop culture. Very versatile looking, this is the perfect blend of fashion between art and music. In addition to the recently-previewed 999 Deconstructed, New Balance continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 999, presenting the 999 Reengineered.
