LAHORE—Depilex beauty clinic & institute formally launched their new company, Depilex Vision (Pvt) Ltd in Lahore. A Creative Arts Academy has been established under this company. It will offer specialised courses and training to those who wish to enter the fields of show business.
The academy set up in Lahore will start regular classes in modelling, direction, script writing and cinematography after Muharram. These will be for three and six months certificate and diploma level courses. Later it will also offer graduate level degrees. The academy in the long run will offer education in all fields of showbiz including screenplay writing, editing, designing, choreography and training of comperes, newscasters and support staff.
Chairperson Depilex Mussarat Misbah said the certificate and diploma courses are being designed as per the international standards. “We are affiliated with Chechester College in England. The theory part of the courses will be based on its syllabus. The practical knowledge will be imparted by the best Pakistani professionals. The syllabus is being formatted in such a way that it is of maximum relevance in the field. Depliex is ISO certified and we will also apply for the ISO certification of academy. After Lahore we will open up the academy classes in Karachi and Islamabad.”
The Creative Arts Academy will have a faculty comprising of foreign and local teachers. Ali Sufian Afaqi and Khalilur Rehman Qamar will teach script writing. A team of senior cinematographers will come from Singapore. Mubasher Lucman and Shahzad Rafique will teach TV and film direction. Mussarat Misbah, Muhammad Ali and Imran Qureshi will give inputs on modelling.
Director of Depilex Vision Mubasher Lucman said “there is no institute or academy in Pakistan which provides quality education in the disciplines related to show business. We will restrict the number of students to five or six in one class to ensure proper attention. The students must be at least graduates to enter the academy. Those wishing to join academy will have to clear an aptitude test.”
The launching ceremony was attended by a number of people from different fields of show business. Prominent among those who attended were President of Pakistan Film Producers Association Mian Amjad Farzand, film stars Shamyl Khan, Saud, Resham, Fareeha Pervaiz, Sana, Raja Riaz, Ali Sufian Afaqi and Sattar Khan. Mian Amjad welcomed the opening of Creative Arts Academy on behalf of the film industry.

this is good news, yeah abt time...i like that depilex lady (can't remember her name at the moment)
she went from this small actress to a big beautician..very good..
i wish Ather Shehezad makes a institution too coz he's a good make-up artist and a good photographer..(this wud probabaly make him stay in pk since he's getting calls from india to move there to work 4 em)
