The shooting of Yash Chopra's film is in full swing. It may be noted that Yash Chopra is wielding the megaphone after a hiatus of six years. Dil To Pagal Hai was the last film that he had directed. Yash Chopra completed a major sequence of the film near Ishar Dham Nanskara Gurudwara in Amritsar. Though Chopra as usual, is extremely secretive about the story of the film, insiders have it that it is a love story cementing ties between two nations - India and Pakistan. The resumption of the Samjautha Express brings Preity Zinta to Punjab to immerse the ashes of a dear one. She meets with an accident. Shahrukh Khan befriends her and aids her. Preity has to return to her fiancé, played by Manoj Bajpai, who stays in Pakistan. Besides Shahrukh, Preity, and Rani, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini, who are doing a song in the film.
