Residents can hear from candidates vying for seats on the Cleveland County of Board of Education at a forum tonight (Thursday).
The most locally contested race in the November election has nine candidates competing for four seats.
Candidates include Democrats Phillip Glover, Dena Green, Tommy C. Greene and Coleman Hunt; Republicans Danny Lee Blanton, Rodney Fitch, Robert P. Queen and Kevin Whisnant; and Kathy Falls who is unaffiliated.
This marks the first time the local race has been partisan.
Each of the candidates has been asked to participate in the forum which is sponsored by Cleveland Community College, Cleveland County Chamber of Commerce and The Star.
Moderators will ask questions to which candidates can give timed responses.
