Injury is Believed to be Related to the Collison That Preceded the OT Goal.The
Hurricanes’ matchup with the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night ended with a
scary moment when goaltender Eddie Lack went down after Detroit grabbed their OT
winner.Red Wing Andreas Athanasiou notched Detroit’s overtime

sent the goaltender immediately down into his own net.Lack went down, obviously
in a significant amount of pain. Trainers immediately responded to Lack’s fall
and quickly came onto the ice to get Lack onto a stretcher. Both teams, and the
coaching staffs, gathered around Lack’s net in silence as trainers got him
