The book was banned in Bangladesh soon after it was published, declared as pornographique and blasphemique. A fatwa was announced to kill Taslima Nasrin and an award was announced for the one who would carry out the activity.
i ve just finished to read that book.. i didnt like it much,, coz she seems to neglect all the rest except well being of HER NATION (bengalis).. vvv nationalist and hates muslims and pakistanis.. but except that nothing which could shock me.. this book can b banned bcoz the subject was against muslims gvt in bengladesh.. means political reasons but FATWA ??????? didnt get any reason for that.. just that it gave her a lot of publicity.. and an average book is now famous in whole world :)
is ther anyone else who read it or heard abt it ??

reason is so clear .. when some one calls muslim or preacehers of islam idiots(astagfurallah) he/she muz b hanged at the center point of the city/country ...

there s a lot said against Muslims, Molvis and Gvt but that s it.. author s all wrong in her nationalist ideas,, some of her opinions made me furious but when u have that power to punish someone it s before all a huge responsibily to not to misuse it.. im talking abt our fanatic molvis
