If you thought Lakshaya was about Pak bashing then Farhan Akhtar quickly clarifies that the film isn't anti-Pakistan at all. "Yes, the film is about Operation Vijay (Kargil). But I have kept all information as factual as possible," he said. Farhan also clarified that the film was not a documentary on the army men. "It has been made from an army man's viewpoint but certainly isn't a documentary on recruitment." Javed Akhtar who has penned down the script of the film says that he felt strongly about Operation Vijay and had penned down the story. "The past cannot be changed. It is a fact that before European Union, World War II had happened. Can we ignore it? I know India-Pakistan relations have changed but there were differences earlier and that cannot be changed. Farhan has made my script come alive."
