in an interview with instep, ahmed jahanzeb said it best:

Q: Like everybody else are you going to India too?

A: We are not going to India, India is coming to us. I have a couple of offers from India including a string of concerts with Junoon. I may go to India around the time of the release of my second album. I believe that if you go to India you should do it in a proper manner and retain your identity. I will not become another Adnan Sami Khan doing playback singing. I am more inclined towards music composition or direction.

Q: What would your strategy be to retain your identity in case India happens to you?

A: India has certainly got everything an artist wants. I think we should deal intelligently with them. India is certainly a bigger market but we should be launched into their market the same way they launch their own artists. There should be proper launch campaigns. The way they are playing Fuzon and Hadiqa on their channels, these singers look like their own regular singers. There was no hype or publicity for Hadiqa and Fuzon when their music went on air in India. If you go as a Pakistani you should make sure that you get the necessary media attention and be introduced to their market properly.

the part i highlighted in his second answer is the very reason that indians claim they don't know our artists. because they are being brainwashed by their media into thinking pakistani songs and stars, are in fact indian. they only wish....lol.

adnan sami left pakistan cause he had too much competition. in india, he was bound to be successful, where pop singers are few and far between. even when making songs for movies...whose his competition?! anu malik?! LOL.

he wouldn't survive in pakistan where he would have to compete with abrar, hadiqa, fakhir, ali zafar, ali sher, shehzad roy, humaira arshad, and bands like strings, fuzon, mekaal ha**an, jal and so on.
