LAHORE - Two real estate agents were shot by unidentified motorcyclists in Defence area Saturday night, while police investigators claimed the murders were an outcome of a monetary issue.
Real estate agents Amin Memon and Saeed were on way to Chungi Amar Sadhu from Ghazi Road on their motorcycle (LRL 5864) when two armed motorcyclists intercepted them at Y Block Defence and sprayed them with a volley of bullets with automatic weapons. Both men were seriously injured and were rushed to Lahore General Hospital where the doctors pronounced them dead some time later.
Defence police claimed that the deceased had a monetary dispute with two groups from Kahna and Chungi Amar Sadhu areas. The case was not registered till the filing of this report at 11:35 pm.
Meanwhile, a young man was shot dead in the City on Saturday.
Mohammad Riaz (25) of Mohalla Sittarpura was standing outside his house when two motorcyclists carrying automatic weapons, sprayed a burst of bullets killing him instantly. The a**ailants managed to escape from the scene.
Baghbanpura police have registered a case against unidentified killers and started investigation. The body has been moved to the morgue for autopsy.
TWO FOUND DEAD: At least two people were found dead in different incidents in the Metropolis on Saturday.
Pa**ersby informed the police of a body of a young man (later identified as one Maqbool Ahmad) at a graveyard in Shadbagh area. The police, quoting the brother of the deceased, said that the diseased (35) came from Hujra Shah Muqeem to seek employment on June 5. There were no injury marks on the body. Police moved the body to the morgue and started investigations after registration of the case. In another incident, a body was recovered from Ravi River near Saggian Bridge in Shahdara area. Police moved the corpse to the morgue and started investigation.
