Is this industry dead or just about ready to die? Nobody is watching the films anymore and nobody seems interested no matter how hard they try. I want them to do well; they have some good talent but people just fail to showup!

What should be done? First thing personally they should change the damn name. Lollywood is a rip off of Hollywood; they should re-name it Filmistan or something along those lines.

Secondly, they have to start from scratch as in new studios, new equipment and a better advertising department jeez!

Third, invest invest invest. I think they only way this industry will be able to surivive is if they make one hell of a movie. I thought that YDAKH would be that movie, but it wasn't. Someone has to step up to the plate and do something different! Why must every movie be about love and all? If Pakistan tries something else which Blahwood isn't doing don't you think people will watch it. One movie I wish one director would make is a movie similar to that of "Behind Ememy Lines"; if they can pull that one off (of course this time in Kashmir) it should be a seller.

Last thing; please please please make sure these films get out. You can hardly find any DVDs or Videos anywhere now. In Pakistan it's not much of a problem, but in other parts of the world it is.

And the very last point; get rid of the Grandmaas and Grandpaas of Lollywood they've had there time. I'm a big supporter of having our own version of "Pakistani Idol". Just think; people would audtion live on TV! Pakistanis would love to see people make fools of themselves it should be a hit. Plus they can get fresh new talent which is desperatly needed now.

That's what I think; throw away the old, invest in newer things, advertise like mad and pray to God something happens. If not...Rest in Peace.
