I saw an entertainment documentory on this very issue once. From what I remember the toast issue was to do with the speed it falls and the distance between the table top and the floor.
Most tables have a standard height, and that distance is what determines the side the toast lands on.
So a smart experiment would be to have several tables of different heights and see if the toast still fell on its jam side!

Okay you've had your mazaa yesterday seeing the HUGEST EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE PLANET. Yeah I'm talking about the Live 8 Concerts - with 3 BILLION people watching - they were larger than life.
But don't just walk out thinking how great the performers were - SIGN THE LIST - the last I checked yerterday afternoon over 2 million names were on the list.

AIDS - MALARIA - TB 3 epidemic killers. Killers you and I in the west have drugs to treat. But for the poor - their children die needlessly at the hand of those killers.
Why should our place of birth decide if we have the right to live?
