Thank you all for your prompt and thought provoking replies. I still believe that there is some hope because if we can produce world class dramas then why not movies. Strangely, when these movie actors who look silly in the movie due to their stupid getup, they look absolutely handsome (male actors) in dramas. So, this means it's the director's lot that needs to be removed. I wish someone make an animated movie in pakistan and I think some ppl can do it coz I'm sure everyone have seen short movie of 'safe guard'.
love you all

Hello Members
Glad to recieve your views about my topic. People in Pakistani Film Industry especially actor Yousuf Khan (chairman of MAAP) who always talk against indian movies strongly (read illogically) that indian movies is nothing but a bunch of filth and nudity, should take his family into a cinema showing a Pakistani film and then decide who is showing more nudity. I am not against Pakistani movies, I've seen movies of golden era (Aaina, Salakhein, Qurbani) all brilliant movies. But since then this industry is taken over by a mafia of directors and producers whose aim is not to produce quality movies but to show more skin, thats basically the reason of downfall of Pakistani movies. Any Gujjar, Malik or Chaudhry ( Tom, Dick and Harry :-) ) can make a Pakistani movie without being qualified for making films.
In my opinion, if you wanna defeat your opponent, you HAVE to compete atleast. But, these lazy ppl in the industry is just giving lame excuses to public to save their fame because they are incompetent and totally unprofessional in their jobs.
I know money plays an important role in movie making but you need to have brains to spend it wisely. We need young, educated and qualified ppl in the industry NOW otherwise no matter how much this industry is supported by the government, it will smash on the floor.
love you all.
