LAHORE, December 10 (Online): Bollywood sensational and sizzling star Urmila Matondkar has shown her keen interest in appearing in Lollywood movies if given good offers.
While talking to host of journalist upon her arrival in Lahore through Wagha border, Urmila said that the people of Pakistan are very warm and cordial.

"I am very happy to be in Pakistan for my forthcoming venture", said smiling Urmila.

Replying to a question Urmila said, "I have never worked in any film that will provoke tensions between the two countries while always wished for the best for both countries".

She added that I want to spread the message of friendship, understanding, love and unity.

It is pertinent to mention that Urmila, her father and Director Commercial Movies was given a warm welcome at the airport by Lollywood sizzling actress Resham, actor Shamil Khan and singer Shafqat Ali Khan.

She added that I am dying to see Lahore as many living in Pakistan and abroad call it "Heart of Pakistan".

LAHORE: Film director Syed Noor said on Thursday that his film Larki Punjaban would be released in India after it was successfully launched in England.

Speaking to reporters at the Lahore Press Club, Mr Noor said, “Larki Punjaban is the first production of Paragon Entertainment (PE), a film production company he set up with a British national. He said he could get the permission from the Indian Information and Culture Ministry in six months. He said the Indian producers were ready to release the film with their names and his name as a partner in India to make money.

Mr Noor said that his Eid release, Commando, earned Rs 13.5 million during the first five days. He said that Commando had boosted the sagging film industry in Pakistan.

He said that Larki Punjaban would be released in Pakistani cinemas on December 25. “Larki Punjaban is doing very well in the UK.” He said and circulated the email messages he received from the filmgoers in the UK who had watched the film.

He said the local films were usually shot in 16 but Larki Punjaban was shot in 35 mm. “We plan to release the film in the United States, Dubai and India,” he said adding that his film was doing better business than Indian movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham in the UK.

Film directors Mubashir Luqman and Shahzad Rafique also attended Mr Noor’s press conference.

Mr Luqman said, “Larki Punjaban has created history in the sense that it is the first Pakistani film to be first released in the international circuit. Previously, all films were released in the local circuit and than then abroad.”

In Larki Punjaban, a Sikh girl falls for a Muslim boy. The story invited some protests in the UK including from the Muslim-Sikh Federation.

Asked to comment on reports that the plot has been changed on protests from Indian Sikhs, Mr Noor said there had been no change in the film. “I took the film to England after getting it approved from the Pakistan Film Censor Board, hence there was no change

the way i see it, when you're at the VERY TOP of the heap....thats the price u pay from jealous onlookers (lollywood actresses, and some of their fans who want 2 see 'em where saima is - atop lollywood as far as talent goes).

it happends in all walks of life! when you're the best....you endure jokes, insults and criticism. but its how you react 2 such situations which defines u as person/professional - and saima's silence speaks VOLUMES abt her character both, as a classy lady, and as an actress. just another reason (one of MANY) why i like her the best...

Assallahmuallaikum!I must agree that Larki Punjaban is a magnificent and an astonishing movie. I am sure that this movie will get a wonderful response. I just wanted to say that Syed Noor, before casting people in this movie, you should have looked around for someone else instead of Saima. Believe me, if this film becomes a flop, it's going to be because of Siama. There's nothing to mind in my message. For next time, please don't cast Siama in any of your movies. I am sorry to say this but she looks like Shamil's mother. If you really want to cast her in any of your movies, then please get another actor who is old enough for her to work with her. Thank you! personally dont think Saima is fit for this larki punjaban role. Sure she has a Punjabi look and body, but if Syed Noor really wanted her then he shouldve gotten a tall, broad, a "thaet" punjabi guy, not Shamyl Khan who is thin and hardly suits the role. Saima needs to lose weight if she wants to compete with the other smart actresses. She is getting old with the passage of time and desperately needs to either lose weight or stop working altogether.
