Release of PPP postponed

Release of Pehla Pehla Pyar postponed

Release of much-awaited film 'Pehla Pehla Pyar' has been postponed as its postproduction work could not be completed in time.

Nadeem Manviwalla, the distributor of the film, disclosed this while talking to The Nation Plus on Friday. Director of the film Mubasher Lucman is in Bangkok these days in connection with postproduction work. "The final prints have not arrived from . The postproduction work could not be completed to meet the deadline. The film has yet to clear the censors and that too could take some time. So it would be difficult to release the film on August 12," Nadeem said. He said the new date of release will be announced after consultation with Mubasher Lucman on his return.

Nadeem Baig, Ali Tabbish, Zara Sheikh, Resham and Sajid Hassan star in the big budget 'Pehla Pehla Pyar'. The film has been shot in Thailand and UAE. After extension in release date now the arena is open to Reema's film 'Koi Tujh Sa Kahaan', which is also expected to premiere on August 12.

well GOD saved lucman from a real disaster and i guess nadeem mandvi wala didn't disclosed the original reason behind the delay which is the lack of DTS cinemas cuz all the major dts cinemas throughout pak are showing koi tujh sa kahan from 12th august in karachi 2 major dts theaters r showing koi tujh sa kahan and only one theater left for ppp and same is the case in lhr and thats the genuine reason behind the delay any wayz this delay will prove beneficial for lucman

yes the film has been delayed, the reason was that mubasher went to thailland to get the prints ready but unfortunatly he got badly ill and was expecting the prints at the lab to be ready but they also stoped, but now the film is ready and munasher is heading back to lahore with the prints tommorow and the film will release 1/2 week later.

un professionalism nothing else

every single person in the industry is just UNPROFESSIONAL including REEMA< LUCMAN< SHAAN< SAYEED NOOR \AND ALL thgouse other director from C class film to A class film makers are just UN PROFESSIONAL!

Posted on 8/10/2005 2:29:48 AM

well you cant call someone unprofessional if you havnt seen any of his work, lucmans PPP was shown at gulistan in lahore 2 days ago wen he came back with the print from thailand and it got a great response, i had also come to lahore to catch it and was great, and no one will call him unprofessional after they see it, and i dont really blame syed noor, he was forced to make these gujjar badmash crap from his producers and the truck drivers audience, but he has come back stongly with majan and it looks great except for the lead actress and will be the first punjabi digital film, reema has also put in alot of effort in her film but lacks education and shaan is still living in the past by using old cameras in his film and making it non digital, but storey is kick ass.

wel making a good movie prfessionally by using gud cameras and techinicians thats not the only professionalism u need to promote it as well u need to accnounce one proper date but till now mr lucman have announced more than 3 4 releassing dates for his movie but on the other hand reema officialy announced only one date and that is 12th august and its releasing now and as far as syed noor and shana is concerned well both the persons r jus wasting thier talents.

Posted on 8/10/2005 2:57:22 PM

lucman didnt announce any date, he announced his movie will release in summer of 2005 and he had a meeting with reema and other directors to make sure theres no clash and reema clearly stated her film will release right after muharum, and right after lucman announcved his film to release on 12th august so did reema right after, so who is unprofessional.

wat eva u say YOYO saab ur a bit too arached to LUCMAN saab and others.. by Un Professional i mean is that nothoing goes oin time in lollywood everything is just late! which is the biggest peoblem in lolly! but the biggest of all is that all of them are competing eachither no one is doing it for pakistan lollywood just to show who is the bst and tey are doing that by competing i dont see anything pakistani in our films specially the new ones, everysingnle new film that is comming out of lollywood is that we have singers from acroos the country which include, alka, udit, sherya etc etc... the only reson they are doing that is to compete with eacjhither. if they really care about pakistan film industry give our new talent a try rather then waving their tails at other industry!!!!!

Posted on 8/10/2005 10:57:55 PM

well nothing can go on time with the infranstruchure available in lollywood, dont forget lollywood isnt bollywood or hollywood, we do not have the facilities thye have.

and yes they are competing against each other and competition is always good, and for the revival of the industry, competion is the best solution as it brings in new better ideas, more work, more investments, better unique scripts, and use of latest facilities.

its not a competition its more of a leg pulling then competition lucman criticized ajab gul earlier then he criticized reema and it ill go on and on shan has did nothing as a director still working on those 1947 cameras and inspite of improving his work he also critisized reema and this ill go on and on frankly speaking iam looking forward for the new generation of directors the guyz like jami saqib malik mheren jabbar Ajab GUL and few more iam not expecting any thing from shan or syed noor and sangeeta.

by the traloirs of Kyun tumse itna pyaar hai i think actually am pretty sure that Ajab Gul Has made him self the centre of attenstion... coz even on the posters his face is sticking right on ur face and the others are just behind him with their head sticking out behind Ajab's bak

Posted on 8/11/2005 6:10:34 PM

but he did full justice with his role
