The movie is not hyped as much as it shud be, there were no publicity at all and the result is half filled theater at the 2nd day of the release.
Movie started off with kailash kher singing on top of his voice "Oh majhi ray" well if u guyz have read the original novel "The count of monte crsito" then u dont need to know abt the story line cuz its very similar,The story is abt a poor fisher man majid who was decieved by his so called well wishers who made him lived in prison for 14 years and at the prison majid meet with an old prisoner who helped him a lot and when he was abt to dead he gave majid a map of some khazaana then how majid get released from the prison and how he take revenge with those people u need to watch a movie or either read a novel.
Director abdul majid played the main lead of admond dante himself now i wonder why he didn't signed any big actor for that i mean anyone could love to do the role but he did it himself and somehow spoiled the show to an extent although he acted pretty well but still he's not a hero material at all,Movie depends on 4 to 5 main characters of faisal rehman,salim sheikh,arbaz khan & vena malik, imran abbas,mona lisa & shamyl khan are totally wasted i wonder why imran abbas said yes for this small role.
Technically movie is brilliant,movie features dolby digital sound and the picture qaulity is outstanding, camera work by akif malik is top notch, music by wajahat attrey is good although movie only features 3 songs but all the songs r nicely composed.Performance vise arbaz khan, salim shiekh and faisal rehman did a gr8 job as expected,majid abdul rehman did a good job as an actor but he shudn't have done this role, as a director he impressed alot but need to work hard on scripting i mean how can a jahil fisher man turned into a world wide bank chain owner isnt't funny but besides that the director deserved full marks for handling the complex subject pretty well specially the dramatic scenes are excellent, there is no loud brack gound music no fights no vulgar songs but the end is pretty much stretched and it cud have been better,another thing is that the movie is not for masses its only for educated class so masses r not gonna like it at all, above all a pretty good movie i wud rate it 10/7.
