In All The Years

We spent alot of years
Most with too many tears
Not from our eyes down our cheeks
But those in our hearts that came in days and weeks.

Never knowing, always lost
Living the moment at any cost
Nothing consistant or staying the same
Always changing or running a game.

Together yet distant
Feeling love on occasional instant
Saying one thing doing another instead
No direction or planning ahead.

Living so wreckless and fast
Friends were always a crew or the cast
Not giving right our attention
Too much time in facilities of detention.

Making mistakes that shouldn't have been
Doing them over and over again
Something always going wrong
Being where we didn't belong.

Too much fighting and taking
Not believing just mistaking
Now looking back at it all
Did we ever make the right call?

Was anything good that we could feel?
If there was, was it real?
What was the best for us, so now seems,
Was only in our dreams.
