Sadness takes hold like creeping vine,
now only loneliness is mine.
Strangles the soul crushes the heart,
the end of life now nears it start.

No purpose I see as fate steps in,
gave me a battle I can not win.
Try as I may I can not forget,
all you feel for me is regret.

You came, loved then tossed away,
did not care so you did not stay.
I thought you would always care,
when ever needed you would be there.

Life has a way of slapping your face,
gives you pain as you fall from grace.
Searching for answers but finding none,
darkness has fallen heartache has won.

Now my broken heart shall bleed no more,
shattered completely it lay on the floor.
No longer beats nor feels the pain,
it will never ever be hurt again.
