lost in darkness with no one to care.
Life's torment has taken its toll,
wandering in darkness tortured soul.

Blank stares gaze as sad eyes pierce,
storm deep within has become fierce.
Numbness takes hold, invades, taunts,
recalled abuse, nightmarish haunts.

Inward visions with crazings of age,
peal away layers of yesterday's rage.
Silence is golden but not worth much,
filled with pain of heartbreak's touch.

Searching skylines walking dead roam,
in darkness without purpose or home.
Feelings die but has not yet met death,
tries to hold on to catch final breath.
