Listen to sounds of silence,
hear your footsteps walk away.
Even the beating of my heart,
has been silenced on this day.

Silent tears from swollen eyes,
pillow muffles whimpering cries.
Pain is silent it has no voice,
invisible the color of your lies.

Stars twinkle in night's quietude,
moon rises without a single peep.
Whistling wind no longer heard,
now listen to the stillness creep.

Hear the hush of broken dreams,
laid to rest mid silent prayers.
No echo heard in darkest night,
silent screams amid nightmares.

Oblivious as the world surrounds,
once more night turns into day.
