US State Secretary Condoleeza Rice has declared, that the indijsko-American agreement on atomic engineering will be signed as soon as possible. Earlier it was expected, that she will sign the document during the recent visit to Delhi. However, according to Rays, signing is postponed because of points of order.
The document removes an interdiction for deliveries of Delhi nuclear materials and the technologies, entered after the first test of the nuclear weapon in India in 1974. The American companies are authorised to sellto India nuclear fuel, but only for use in the peace purposes. In an exchange India agrees on the international inspections of the civil nuclear objects.
