Bollywood is going down

Bollywood from staring of 2004 is going down. Many films r getting flop.

Only and only one SRk movie 'Kal ho na ho' is still successfully running in overseas uk and usa..excellent business.
but only good in a few places of india.
..star tv critic says..
he added...March will also a bad period becoz of Indo-pak Cricket series.

so true..in my view I am really not impressed bollywood after 2000.

90's bollywood movies still worth watched and less vulgarity and nudity.

Last srk movie feels good 'Josh','Duplicate' and 'Badshah'.

yeah totally agree with you ydakh i mean if any1 wants to watch nudity and vulgarity they have hollywood it just doesnt suit bollywood does it no wonder films like jism and gunaah didnt do well.

first of all, bollywood had a crazy year in 2003...n with 2004...the best will come in summer, n that will get them their money back...bwood is a big industry, ye choti choti films flop hona is nothing for them...

2003 was an awesome year for movies(tere naam, baghban, munna bhai, koi mil gaya, n of course kal ho na ho)
2004 really didnt start of as well. but lets see how Main Hoon na does, and also salman khan is comin out wit a buncha movies this year

Posted on 3/6/2004 2:17:05 AM

all salman's will be hit, cuz after tere naam, he gained more fans...
n SRK ofcourse he's gona make 2004 just like 03
oh yea chalte chalte was also a big hit...

Actually Films like Jism are not flop. Jism was a big hit in Mumbai and it recovered its Money within the forst two weeks. About other movies, actually they are not flop because the producers and distributors recover their money. Its just that they are not as big a hit as kal ho na ho. And why would every film be like Kal ho na ho. Afterall there is a best among the rest. Always!

About big hits, wait and watch, as this year is going to be the biggest year for bollywood. Just for 1 simple reason:

Yash Chopras next directorial Debut after Dil to Pagal hai will be released in October this year and it stars Shahrukh Khan , Aishwarya Rai and Ranee Mukherjee. the film songs alone will be its selling point apart for starcast as we all know that Yash Chopra Always delivers a masterpiece, be it Darr, Lamhe, Chandni, Dil to Pagal hai or DDLJ.

Also Subhash Ghai's Directorial venture "Kisna" will be released this year too.

Then you have Mani Ratnams untitled movie also scheduled for this october release. and also Sanjay Leela Bhansalis "Black" and possibly "Bajirao Mastani" are alls et to release. Then we have "Bride and Prejudice" and British ad Bollywood Join Venture.

Expect Fireworks in Diwali period.

The most awaited film will be undoubtedly Yash Chopras film as it is his next movie afeter 1997 release of Dil to Pagal Hai....

ydakh, so indirectly it seems that all u want is a bollywood downfall coz its the only competitor of lollywood.

I am more concerned about Lollywood, coz its most mediocre movie which creates box office success fail to garner more money then Gunaah or Jism.

chalte chalte was not gud ya salman is gonna b a big hit after tere naam

Posted on 3/6/2004 7:00:16 PM

chalte chalte was one of the movies which nominated for best films award, n more others...
no matter wat happen
SRK remains the best

bollywood had about 5 good hits last year . . for a industrie which releasess over 200 movies per year and only having 5 as a hit is kindda bad. . . but they dont really cear about the flops cos their doin well has a industries anyways...
