anyone see salman ahmed's new video for ghoom taana!? it has a couple of indian actors/actresses in it, and he got a female indian classical singer to re-record the song with him. the video has been directed by the same director who made fuzon's khamaj, and i have 2 say its outstanding.

nope. the only 'actor' from pakistan was salman ahmed himself. lol.
but still - the video is awsome. whoever that indian actress is, suits the role. she's not covered with makeup like most actresses in movies/music videos.
naseer-udin-shah's voiceover is also excellent. the classical singer adds a nice touch. my only complaint is that she doesn't sing in one tone. she's all over the place. lol.
and the song by junoon is awsome 2 begin with. junoon is junoon afterall.
but the best part of the video is the direction by saqib malik. he mastered khamaj and now he's done the same with ghoom tana. wicked.
this video shows that joint production with india/pak is working thus far.

the video's inspired by a true story/event. its abt salman ahmed's mom (and/or grandmother?) who was originally from patiala, a punjabi speaking section of india. salman ahmed recently visited the city and he made the song 'ghoom tana' based on his experience.
u can watch the documentary on junoon's website. everything is explained in it. it is 15 minutes, and it includes interviews with all those involved in the music video inclduing salman, the indian actress, singer, and naseer-udin-shah. the actual video is also there! hope that helps pak-kuri.
