After your shrimp have grown to market size, they are ready for harvesting. Basically, there are two types of methods used for harvesting.
1. Cull harvesting
2. Drain harvesting

Cull harvesting technique
In this way, a fence made of monofilament nylon is usually used to remove shrimp of all market sizes. The mesh can be specifically designed for this purpose and is equipped with sediments and floats. The size of the net depends on the size of the pond and shrimp. For this reason, it is recommended to use a net that is 8 feet taller than the pond and 1 1/2 times longer. The mesh size is recommended at 1.5 inches. You should be careful not to leave any gaps while pulling the net, or your shrimp will escape from under it. Take the number of shrimps that can be processed in the net and transfer them to a cage or box. You will have to repeat the fence process, keep one end fixed and rotate the other end.
In order to regularly remove faster-growing shrimp from the pond, you can use the reject harvesting system. Nevertheless, the culling system is not very effective in maximizing the total amount of shrimp that can be sold, as some harvest-sized shrimps can still remain in the pond and stay longer than necessary. Usually, slaughter harvests can begin within 5 to 7 months of the juvenile fish being stocked. You should round the pond once a month to remove the mature shrimp, leaving the smaller shrimp or soft-shelled shrimp to grow further. After 8 to 11 months, drain the entire pond to harvest all the shrimp. It is not recommended to use water from one pond to another because you may be transferring the disease; Replenish the pond with fresh water.

Drain harvesting
The drainage system is used to harvest all shrimp from the pond at the end of the growth cycle. The efficiency and method of drainage harvesting depends on the size of your pond. You should draw the water level of the pond the night before you plan the drain age and start on a cool morning.
If your pond has a draingate structure, you can effectively harvest shrimp by setting up a sink or collection pool in front of the door. When you drain, your shrimp accumulates in the puddle. Be careful not to apply pressure on shrimp slower oxygen levels, high temperatures or overcrowding. If your drain pipe is too small, many of your shrimps will be damaged before harvesting.
The properly built pond will maximize your harvest efficiency. If your pond does not have a drainage system, use a pump to drain water from the pond. You must use a screen to prevent shrimp from entering the pump. Use the fence multiple times after the water is drawn out. You must also catch shrimp returned to the mud or trapped in an isolated pool.
