Aditya Chopra's evergreen love story Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge will soon create an all-time world record for the longest running film in the history of Hindi cinema. On May 13, 2005 the movie will complete its 500th week of continuous run at the Maratha Mandir cinema hall in Mumbai. The film released on October 20, 1995 and has been continuously playing at the Maratha Mandir cinema hall since then. Plans are being made to re-release the film all across the country on the occasion.
DDLJ was the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra and starred Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal and Anupam Kher in lead roles.
