So I'm not sure if there is already a topic about this. I am approaching my 2-year mark after the diagnosis. A few weeks ago, I finally made an appointment with the dentist (finally feeling well enough to do it) I was very nervous about going to my cleaning. It's a good thing I brought my own stuff, because they didn't really seem to realize how sensitive I was to trace amounts of gluten. As a result, the dentist told me that I needed several fillings. What did not surprise me, I had cavities since childhood. My question is, what do I need to look for with the materials they are going to use for my fillings? I sent my dentist an article saying that most of the products he would use might contain gluten. He practically waved me off. Is this something I really need to worry about?? I don't want to get fillings if the material contains gluten and will be in my mouth. I am the only one of my friends who has celiac disease, so I have no one else to ask what they had to do when they went to the dentist. I would appreciate any help! My anxiety is just crazy right now when I think about it.

Gluten is a product that doesn't pose a danger to your health. Unless you are allergic to this particular product. In your case I think it would be better to do some investigations because later you can already make the right decision. My father is a dentist, so I managed to gain some experience. In the century in which we live there are a lot of substances that could replace gluten and at the same time will be useful for your caries. By the way, you can try to read some information on dentalservicesmaryland.com. me when I don't know something, I try to find here the answers
