LAHORE: Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has been admitted to hospital diagnosed suffering from typhoid ahead of the home series against India next month.
Razzaq missed the recent test series against England due to an elbow injury but returned to the side for the one-day internationals.
Abdul Razzaq was diagnosed typhoid after tests at a local hospital. "I am feeling very weak and doctors have advised full bed rest”, he told Geo News.
It will take time before I can resume playing cricket. But I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am able to regain full fitness before the first test against India."
India arrive in Pakistan on Jan. 5 to play three tests and five one-day internationals.
