Hi everyone, I've been looking to start a new hobby and thought pottery might be a fun and relaxing activity to try. I'm a complete beginner and don't have any prior experience. Does anyone know of any good pottery classes in Chicago that cater to beginners? I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Hello! If you're looking to dive into pottery, I highly recommend checking out the pottery classes at the Pottery Studio in River North https://pottery-chicago.com/pottery-classes-river-north . They offer a variety of classes that are perfect for beginners, including one-time classes where you can try your hand at wheel throwing, hand-building, and glazing techniques. The instructors are very skilled and supportive, making it a great environment for learning and creating. What I really like about them is that you don't need any prior experience, and there's no long-term commitment or enrollment fee required. You can just sign up for a single session to see if you enjoy it. Plus, they provide all the materials you'll need, so you just have to show up and have fun. They have classes for all ages, so whether you're an adult, teenager, or even looking to introduce your kids to pottery, you'll find something suitable. The sessions are about 2 hours long, and you get to take home your own handmade piece at the end of it. You can find more details about their offerings on their website, Pottery Studio in River North. It’s a great way to spend a couple of hours relaxing and creating something unique. Enjoy your new hobby!
