I remember

I remember like it was yesterday
I was sitting on the beach
My toes were burried in the sand
The sunset was a wild peach

I sat alone with no one in sight
The wind blew, the waves were crashing
The most beautiful place I’ve ever seen
There’s nothing like the sound of splashing

Then you walked up and held out your hand
So I placed my hand in yours
Opting to trust a total stranger
We sat there and watched the shores

A gorgeous man and a beautiful place
Talking about life and what’s real
I didn’t know his name or who he was
But in that moment I could feel
