Silent Eyes

Wild newborn,
Eyelids gently open,
Delight,
On meeting life,
Visions of youth followed by maturity,
Witness to sin & transgression,
Incorrect half-hearted worship,
Feebleness in old age.

Despair,
A lifetime of enjoyment,
Moment of Death,
Eyes wide open,
Following the departing being,
Waiting for the Day of Resurrection,
Silently,
The chance to provide witness,
Against a wicked soul.
