and it seems we lose our way
we forget to stop and simplify

We try to live for others
by pleasing every one
when all we really need to do
is to focus on the Son.

Our lives are not dependent
on great works that we perform
what matters is that gentle soul
seeking refuge from the storm.

A quiet day with our family
just taking time for fun...
putting aside our worries
giving thanks when the day is done.

When our life is finally over
and we take our last warm breath
what matters most is the love we gave
and that we gave, with no regret.
