      M O O N B E A M

your angels sailed in
       on a moonbeam
            tonight
you felt so alone
       nothing was right
they stroked your hair
       and bathed you in light
then they
       sailed away
             sail away

you gazed at the ocean
       as lights flickered
            gold
'round a doorway that opened
       and beckoned your soul
and a voice in the night
       said you're never alone
as the moon shone above
       and lit your way home
