Mighty beacon stand amid ocean spray,
tower gleaming so tall.
The sea beckons death at the end of day,
when danger comes to call.
As harshness beats down on its lonely stance,
throughout the tempest stand.
Signaling havoc as vessels advance,
lighthouse oh so grand.
Seascapes adorned as the rock jettys creep,
hulls screech, echo the night.
Death comes to call in the dark waters deep,
they did not heed the light.
Overseer of the sea's beauty and breadth,
grand messenger of harm.
So statuesque beside the ocean's depth,
beaming light of alarm.
Moon and waves crest among the dark of night,
its time for you to shine.
Come dance in the sky for sailor's delight,
light up the deep dark brine.
