Why are u after box office status, doesn't it bother u, how the film is made? :s I think no bad films deserves to be a hit!
Posted 20 Dec 2007

Jhoomer is not a bad film...
TO TEEL U THE BITTER TRUTH...NO BIG FILM ON EID WAS A HIT!MOHABBATAAN SACHIYAAN,GODFATHER AND JHOOMER ALL OF THEM WERE FLOP!MOHABBATAAN SACHIYAAN DID TO TAKE SOME CROWDS BUT IT WASNOT EVEN ABLE TO RECOVER ITS MONEY EVEN!
EVEN GHUNDI RUN PRODUCER IS CLAIMING THAT HE STILL HASNT HAS GOT HIS WHOLE MOVIE'S BUDGET BAK!
Posted 20 Dec 2007

jhomer was a bad film it was repeated story with same old loud drama and stuff atleast i cant call it a good film.
Posted 20 Dec 2007

MR NICE says
One film crtic recently slammed geo for promoting an ordinary film like Mohabbatan Sachchiyan instead of Jhoomer.

Jhoomer no doubt had a decent story but what let it down was the technical quality and presentation.

Also the film was released without any publicity and then what was even bizaare Jhoomer only got released in the Punjab circuit on Eid.

One has to blame Syed Noor and no one else. It was his ego which got the better of him.
Posted 21 Dec 2007

MR NICE it was not his ego.It was the producer's.Syed Noor never wanted to release Jhoomer on Eid..it was his producer who was forcing him.
Also i agree wid that critic, why was Geo so much interested in bagging the rights of MS when it was such a plain-simple film(Only techically it was good whereas i believe Geo Films take only those films which have solid stuff in it).
Exactly,Jhoomer lacked in the technical department.Amazingly,Syed Noor is the one who is bringing new technology to Pakistan and he made Jhoomer with such bad cameras. The print was not good.

syed noor and sangeeta can never make a gud films they both still living in 70's.
Posted 21 Dec 2007

yoyo says
i agree, with afridi, it was producers fault.

jhoomer is easily the best film after kkl this year, its got praises in the media, only the promotion let it down, if geo or ary released it instead of ms of godfather then it would have been a smash*t.

well theirs chooriyan and mehndi waley haat is well.

the thing about them is that they came at a time when the film industry was totaly dead and still managed to be blockbusters, even jhoomer is being praised by the critics.

syed noor is easily the most talented and best director we have in lollywood as he has stayed alive and made good films in a dead and buried industry, in which even some of talented directors like yash chopra would have never survived, if lollywood was in a much better position im sure he would be one of the greats or even if he was in bollywood he will be on par with the biggest directors.

he made such a great film like majajan totaly in pakistan with pakistans outdated facilities and at a time when all our directors are sucking up to india, he refuses to use an indian for support.

Pff..u are always mentioning mehndi waley haath, chooriyan, those are old movies now! Grow up and look ahead. Those movies offcourse worked, because the film industry was dead, nothing else!

And you are saying this, coz syed noor made "great"movies with this fat lady saima, like chooriyan? well u know yash chopra made the biggest blockbuster movie "Dilwale Dulhania le Jaayenge", its still running for more then 10 years and a lots of hits movies during the seventies. It doesn't means, u should always appreciate his every movies, like you do with syed noor movies! U appreciate every syed noor movies, no matter how bad the movie is, u still give thumbs up to his every movies, because he made "good"movies in the past.. I am sorry to say, but syed noor is still nowhere,he doesn't use special effects, FX visual effects, so on technical front syed noor is still behind.

Like I said, u give thumbs up to every syed noor movie, do u think the movie is that great? Release this movie in India, then u will see the response. Wake up and be realistic!
Posted 23 Dec 2007

Syed Noor a great director and this fact cannot be changed.
Only one cons of Syed Noor(tht he alwayz take Saima in hiz films)dosent mean tht u start accusing his abilities.
Ah...forgive me to be rude here but some people dont really abut the technical aspects of a film if they did then they will never accuse Syed Noor tht he is technically far behind!Syed Noor has bought himself, wid his own money, the editing equipment Avid on which films in Bollywood and Hollywood are edited to Pakistan.its ahsaaan done by Syed Noor to the Pakistan Film Industry. Also he will very soon be opening his own film processing labs then there will be no need of Pakistani Producers going to india or bangkok to process thier films. He is making a revolutionary change in the Technical Facilities in the Pakistan Film Industry and one is saying tht he dosent work on technical aspects of film!
Jhoomer was technically low becuz it was shot b4...now just see the change!
Posted 23 Dec 2007

ok lets wait and see the changes.
Posted 23 Dec 2007

With all the latest equipment and editing facilities syed noor is making Rolaa, cant stop laughing.
Posted 24 Dec 2007

Rola i dont think so he iz makin thiz...he is making a comedy movie rite now plus one movie for the producer who was the producer of Commando which was also directed by Syed Noor.

Because Yash Chopra doesn't choose a fat lady as herione plus he is far ahead then Syed Noor. Syed noor is where Yash Chopra was in the '70.

Do u think Syed Noor can make movies like koi mil gaya or Don with all these special effects? I dont think so...

well someone mentioned hes in the 70s but chooriyan and mehndi waley haat came in the 90s, and majajan just last year but people always bring out excuses.

and no one is talking about his fat lady saima, we are talking about the content of the film and the talent of the director.
as for ddlj it was crap boy meets girl film, maybe it can run for 10 years in india but films like that dnt even run for 10 days in usa, and it wasnt even made by yash chopra but aditya chopra.

films like chooriyan, mwh and majajan was something new which released in a dead industry and took it by storm, had they released in india with big actors it would have been enourmous hits.

as for special effects and visual effects, then how can he use them when their arnt any in pakistan, DUHHH, exactly what i have pointed out that he has made superb films with no techonoly and outdated cameras. something which yash chopra could have never done, he always had the best facilities and best talents to work in his films, which syed noor has never had.
so tell me who is being relistic and not.

koi mil gaya that was totaly copy of ET anyone can make that you dnt even need talent for it. LOL

I think lollywood is so behind still we are stepping into 2008 soon and some of the movies are like the ones like 1995 come on!
Posted 27 Dec 2007

Yash Chopra is usually fianancer of his films...not the director!
Syed Noor is a geat director and its high-time now to stop promoting indians and encourage our talent.
I am not saying that Syed Noor havent made any bad movies,i didnt like Larki Punjaban much.
But he has also made some blockbusters like MWH,Choorian,Majajan and an modern action film Commando.
Even Yash Chopra has made(or financed..wateva) some bad movies like Neal n Nikki,Laga Chuniri mein Daag etc.
Exactly,we are not talking about fat-lady saima here,we are taking abut Syed Noor's talent. Some people outrightly reject Syed Noor only because he takes Saima in his every film.
Eagerly waiting for his film Price of Honour(and thts widout Saima ).

I am not talking about copies otherwise u can also say majajan is not a unique story! I am talking about the ability to make such movies and i dont thin syed noor can do that...u name me one movies where there is special effect?

Duh why dont u get it? because it was a dead industry thats why it became a hit, if the industry was alive and with full competitions it would definetly bomb at the box office...

How do u know? u are just against India, thats why u are saying this! How come yash chopra made several hits during '70, '80, '90 wich is liked by a lots of peoples. Like I said u before, u are just praising Syed noor too much only because according to u Mehndi Walay Haath, Chooriyan was " good " movies.

See, now u are saying urself, with no technology and outdated cameras. do u call this a proffesional director? Every director in India, whenever a new camera is out, they immediately buy it, wherease u cant say this about syed noor! Syed noor is still behind, what was so special about Larki Punjaban, Majajan, Choorian, nothing special and thats what the problem is with the Pakistani Audience, we immediately get excited whenever a movie comes out with good print, like good print is only things what counts.. If u thnink Syed Noor is better then Yash Chopra, then i am better actor then Amitabh Bachan.

majajan was surly more unqiue then any yash chopra film to come out.
you dnt need know abilities to copy a film, even i could have made kmg, it was trash, syed noor can make that in his sleep.
it was a copy and they completly spoiled it.

i have allready told you that, there is availble facuilites in pakistan for special effects, what dnt you understand about that. if there was he would obviously use them

Duh why dont u get it? because it was a dead industry thats why it became a hit, if the industry was alive and with full competitions it would definetly bomb at the box office...

how illogical is that, a film is a hit in a dead industry because it is extraordinary.

why do you think films like medlag, godfather, lp, tbjnj are flops, DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
according to you if any film with a big budget and good colour releases in a dead industry it will be hit think again dude
chooriyan and mwh release with outdated facilities at a time when the industry was completly dead and NO ONE WAS INTERESTED IN GOING TO CINEMAS, yet it emerged a blockbuster which no indian movie could have done,

Exactly thats what i mean, syed noor is still not there where yash chopra is now!

again a illogical comment, pakistan is not there yet, not noor, once pakistan can the facilities he would obviously make special fx films.

How do u know? u are just against India, thats why u are saying this! How come yash chopra made several hits during '70, '80, '90 wich is liked by a lots of peoples. why would i be against india dude find an other excuse cos it doesnt work,
chooriyan and mwh are still the 2 biggest hits to be made in pakistan, so dude get your facts right its not only me who likes them, the whole nation does.

dude, state of the art facilities are the gov. priorities, not syed noor, syed noor is a director who makes not films, its gov. job to provide him with the facilities, unfortunatly he is in the most neglected industry in pakistan, how do you expect him to use latest facilities, if syed noor had all facilities availble like yash chopra, he would be way ahead of him.
and if yash chopra was in pakistan he would be no different he would also be making films on out dated facilities, but who wants to watch dtph or vz on outdated facilities, definatly not me.

i allready mentioned above, that films with good prints and high expectations have floped badly in the past so you are wrong, even pakistans first dts film cholo ishq larein came with good print but floped badly/ and chooriyan and mwh was no where near good print, yet it emerged blockbuster.
this itself tells you that noor is an amazing director and had those films released with latest facilities they would break records even in india.
