MONTREAL - The bottom line from the Montreal Canadiens rematch with the Boston Bruins was: 10 goals, no fights, but one late bit of nastiness from Milan Lucic. C.J. Mosley Jersey .Brendan Gallagher and P.A. Parenteau each had two goals as the Canadiens chased goalie Tuukka Rask out of the game to win their home opener 6-4 over the Bruins on Thursday night.Im very satisfied, said Montreal coach Michel Therrien, whose team rebounded from a 7-1 thrashing at Tampa Bay on Monday night. Our forecheck was good, our power play was much better. That was good to see after a bad loss.Max Pacioretty had a goal and two helpers, while Jiri Sekac got his first NHL goal for Montreal (4-1-0). Zdeno Chara, Carl Soderberg, Loui Eriksson and Simon Gagne, with his first as a Bruin, replied for Boston (2-4-0), which led 3-2 before fading late in the second frame. Boston was coming off a win Wednesday night in Detroit. The pre-game buildup was all about last spring, when the Canadiens upset Boston in seven games in the second round of the playoffs. In the handshake line after Game 7, Lucic reportedly threatened to kill Dale Weise and Alexei Emelin.Weise was a healthy scratch, but the Lucic vs Emelin animosity was a game-long subplot. The Canadiens defenceman knocked down Lucic with an open ice check early in the game.At 18:40 of the third, with Boston pushing to tie the game, Lucic crushed Emelin and was given a two-minute boarding penalty. After Parenteau scored into an empty net to seal the win, Lucic was handed a misconduct for mouthing off to the officials, then flexed his muscles to the Bell Centre crown in the penalty box. There were reports he also made a rude gesture to the crowd.Lucic did not speak to the media after the game.Otherwise, it was a peaceful game with plenty of end-to-end action.Thats what I expected, said Gallagher. When two points are on the line against a division rival, you cant take undisciplined penalties because theyll come back to bite you.It was physical and heated at times, but both teams understood the importance of the two points.Boston coach Claude Julien said sloppy play was to blame for the loss.We lost our focus, he said. We made some real bad mistakes that ended up in the back of the net.Im disappointed in some of the decisions that we made that cost us some goals. We have to fix that. But as long as the effort is there, you have an opportunity, you have a chance. It was just one of those games with a lot of bouncing pucks. Its a team thing right now. As a team, we made too many mistakes.Rask, who is 3-11-3 in his career against Montreal, allowed five goals on 23 shots before leaving 7:17 into the third in favour of Niklas Svedberg. Boston outshot Montreal 29-26.It was a big night for Sekac, the 22-year-old winger who signed as a free agent. He got his first career goal with his parents and his girlfriend from the Czech Republic in the seats.I tried to find him (in the seats), but theres way too many people, said Sekac. Its hard to describe my feelings. I cant stop smiling. It was also special for Parenteau, the former Colorado Avalanche forward who had scored shootout goals but none in regulation time in his first four games with Montreal. It felt great to finally have one go in, he said. The pre-game ceremonies saw perhaps the warmest applause Therrien has had in his three seasons as coach, while Ginette Renos national anthem had the crowd of 21,273 buzzing. But the Canadiens started out flat.Boston led 7-1 in shots when Chara, posted in front of Carey Price on a power play, had David Krejcis shot go in off his leg 9:03 into the game. That woke up Montreal, which responded with its first power-play goal in 15 tries this season when David Desharnais went hard to the net and saw the puck go off Adam McQuaids skate, then off Paciorettys skate and in at 11:33.After Gallagher put Montreal ahead at 7:43 of the second, the Bruins took over the game for an eight-minute stretch as Soderberg got the puck amid a crowd of Montreal defenders and scored at 8:34 and Eriksson tipped in a Torey Krug pass at 11:31.But in the final two minutes of the period, the Canadiens struck twice as Sekac jumped on a deflected puck and scored into an open side at 18:11 and Parenteau scored from the slot at 19:36.Those two goals were huge, said Gallagher. When Jiri scored, everyone got excited. It was his first NHL goal, and P.A.s first as a Hab. It was fun to share that excitement with them.Pacioretty deflected Emelins pass in off Gallaghers leg 7:17 into the third, but Boston got it back at 14:11 as Lucic went around Emelin and saw his shot fall behind Price, and Gagne slide in to score with his skate. The Bruins looked ready to push for the equalizer, but Lucics penalty killed the momentum and Parenteau added an empty-net power-play goal.Notes — The highlight of the pre-game ceremonies saw goaltending great Ken Dryden pass a torch to Price to start the player introductions, in which the Canadiens handed the torch to one another. . . . Montreal sat out Weise and defenceman Nathan Beaulieu in favour of Travis Moen and Emelin, who returned from an upper body injury. . . Gagne and Gregory Campbell dressed for Boston, which scratched Matt Fraser, Matt Bartkowski and Ryan Spooner. Marlon Brown Ravens Jersey . But history aside, theyre still happy to participate in the Par 3 contest, traditionally held on the day prior to the first round of the Masters. Matt Schaub Ravens Jersey . Sure, Josh Browns 45-yard field goal on the third drive of overtime lifted the New York Giants to a 23-20 win over Detroit on Sunday. But the Lions (7-8) dropped themselves out of the NFC North race by losing five of their last six games, blowing fourth-quarter leads in each setback.EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Unless they meet again in the post-season, this was the last Manning Bowl. No less an authority than Peyton Manning says so, and why not: Peyton is 3-0 against younger brother Eli in regular-season games after Denvers 41-23 rout Sunday of the New York Giants. "I think both of us are glad that its over with," Peyton said after throwing for two touchdowns. "Postseason is one thing, but I dont think Ill make it to the next regular season (meeting, in four years). I think thisll be the end of it. So Ill be happy about that. And the family will." Big brother didnt need another record-tying seven touchdown passes. He got this win with a huge boost from Knowshon Moreno, who rushed for two touchdowns and 93 yards on just 13 carries. Denver (2-0), which has won 13 straight regular-season games, ran for 109 yards altogether. With Manning finding Wes Welker and Julius Thomas for touchdowns, and Moreno scoring on sprints down the right side, Denver dominated much of the matchup between Super Bowl MVP quarterbacks; Eli has won two titles, Peyton one. The older Mannings first two victories against his sibling came when Peyton was with the Colts. "For me, its a strange feeling," Peyton said. "Its not quite as enjoyable as if you beat somebody else." Peyton finished 30 of 43 for 307 yards with no interceptions. Eli was 28 of 39 for 362 yards, but was picked off four times; he had 15 interceptions all of last season and has seven already this year. After the rout, the brothers shared a very short handshake while surrounded by a mob of photographers and TV cameras. They had exchanged their greetings before the kickoff. "We chatted for 10 minutes, nothing specific, just brotherly talk," Eli said. "After that, there wasnt a whole lot of brotherly interaction." The Giants also allowed Trindon Hollidays spectacular 81-yard punt return for a touchdown, the first such score in the league this season. Peyton, who became the third player over 60,000 career yards passing on Denvers opening drive, connected with a wide-open Welker for a 2-yard score that gave the Broncos a 17-9 lead. But little brother took New York 81 yards in response, although the drive wwas built more on Broncos blunders -- four penalties, including two for pass interference -- than Manning magic. Justin Tucker Ravens Jersey. There was plenty of Moreno magic on Denvers next series, when he again surged around right end to almost duplicate his earlier 20-yard scoring run with a 25-yarder. Considered a backup heading toward the season, New Jersey native Moreno was virtually the entire running game for the Broncos on Sunday -- and he made the difference. "I feel the same every game, always amped up and real emotional," he said. "You just got to go out and play." Peyton Manning also hit Thomas for an 11-yard score as Denver pulled away in the second half after leading 10-9 at halftime. DaRel Scott took a short pass 23 yards for a TD for New York to conclude the Giants scoring. "Its very disappointing, frustrating ... the whole point is we have to hang in there," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "We have 14 games to go. We have been 0-2 before. We dug ourselves into a hole before and been able to fight our way out of it. When we did it was with team, but the performance level has to come up." The sloppy first half was marred by eight dropped passes on both sides, including three by Welker. The biggest drop, though, came on a running play when rookie Montee Ball fumbled at the New York 3 to ruin Denvers drive from its 7 on the opening series. Eli Manning then led his team 62 yards -- 51 on a pass to Victor Cruz -- and Josh Brown made a 36-yard field goal. Brown added kicks of 24 and 41 yards in the first half. Denvers first touchdown came on Morenos 20-yard sprint around right end early in the second quarter, and Matt Prater made a 42-yard field goal 47 seconds before halftime. He added a 47-yarder 2:38 from the end. The Giants have allowed 77 points in two games. NOTES: Denver has won 400 games since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. It tied a team record with its seventh straight road victory, even though it drew 13 penalties for 132 yards. ... The Broncos last won at the Giants in 1980. ... Cruz had eight catches for 118 yards, his second straight 100-yard outing this season. ... Broncos LB Danny Trevathan had the games only sack and was in on 10 tackles.Wholesale Jerseys China ' ' '
