DENVER - Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson will miss the game Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a sore left ankle.

PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rays have put designated hitter Luke Scott on the 15-day disabled list because of lower back spasms. The move was announced before Saturday nights game against Toronto. The Rays also reinstated reliever Brandon Gomes, who missed 88 games with a right lat strain, from the 60-day disabled list. They transferred right-hander Jesse Crain from the 15- to the 60-day disabled list. Crain, sidelinned by a strained right shoulder, is not expected back until next month.
