apun ki kismat hi kharab hai
Posted 14 Sep 2004

There is no dua that will benefit you or will earn you a job without firm belief that Allah subhanahu wa taala is the only one who is the provider and only with His permission you and I breathe the air and consume provisons which He the Exalted created. Also remember, He grants your requests when He knows its best for you.
Etiquettes of dua include recognizing, praising, and thanking Allah SWT before asking. Best way of making dua is to follow a good deed with dua. Prayers are the best form of rememberance. Ignoring prayers and asking Allah for needs carry very little weight.

We are returning ones, repentant ones, worshipping ones, (and) the ones who praise our Lord.

O Allah! I ask you for the good in entering (my house) and the good in leaving (my house). In the Name of Allah ,we enter and we place our trust in our Lord.

I entrust you (or) all of you to Allah with Whom all entrusted possession are safe or are not wasted.

I entrust your religion and your possessions and your last deed to Allah.

There is no God but Allah Alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs the Kingdom, to Him belongs all Praise, He Gives life and Causes death and He is Eternal, He will never die. All good is with Him and in His Hands is the Power over everything. In The Name of Allah, O' Allah! Indeed I ask You the good of this market and the good therein and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this market and the evil therein and I seek refuge in You lest I take part in a harmful transaction/bargain

JK for duaz!
friends, dua is the fruit of worship. For dua it is important to firmly believe Allah is the only one who can listen to the call and respond. Ettiquetes of Dua also include doing it in purity, praising and thanking Allah before asking, humbling oneself by mentioning one's weakness and inabilities. Asking for halal things with humility and surity that Allah will answer the call.
