this is what resham says about him in one of her interviews
I am very excited about Pehla Pehla Pyar. I think to-date it is perhaps my best work. After a long time comes a film with an emphasis on the women issues. I feel it has a wonderful script; which is crafted out specially to lure the women to the cinema halls and it is being executed with great care and thought.
Well honestly we artists have no control over the over all quality of the film. We can only do our bit. It is the responsibility of the director to ensure aesthetic values. I do what ever I am asked to do. I am a director’s actress I do whatever the director wants me to do. Unfortunately the emphasis in the films has been more on other things than a good story. However in Pehla Pehla Pyar hopefully you will miss any elements of vulgarity and it will prove to be a truly family film, providing wholesome family entertainment to all.
Mubasher lucman has suprised us all with his hard work and commtiment.
Pehla Pehla Pyar has a very strong story line. It also deals with simple characters that you see everyday. It has really good treatment and great production values. I cannot comment on any one else; that, I have not worked with but I can tell you that Mubasher Lucman has done a lot of homework in this project. In fact he surprised all of us with his hard work and commitment levels. I also feel with so much of creative inputs it has to do well. Additionally the entire team of Pehla Pehla Pyar has really given it everything.
Pehla Pehla Pyar was fate I guess. Mubasher Sahib had started a program on ARY digital, The ARY SAF Star Gold Quiz. It was a live program with Nadeem Sahib in it. On one of the programs I was a guest and after the program the Director told me that when he makes a film, or his first film, he would take me into it. I have heard that so many times that I did not pay attention to it. True enough, almost a year and a half later he calls me up and says he has a role for me. The rest is history. I have been told that many actresses have gone out of the way to get this role, but then I do not mind. There is a God up there who looks after all of us. The first time I got this call I could not believe it. Then when I heard about the plans of the production it was also hard to believe. Only when we started to shoot I realized that Almighty has given me a great opportunity.
Feroze Khan was shooting his upcoming film Janasheen in Thailand at the same time when we were there. Incidentally we also stayed at the same hotel; we first met Fardeen and his co-stars in the hotel lobby. Then they came a couple of times to our shoot. They were really impressed. Feroze Khan sahib even told our director that he had no idea that Pakistani films were so good until this time. When he saw the shoot he was really impressed with it. One day our film stock or raw material got stuck in the customs. It was going to take a few days to come out. This meant that the entire unit would be sitting doing nothing for many days. Feroz Khan heard this and offered Mubasher Lucman that he had spare material. However by that time in the evening we had arranged for our alternate stocks. Mubasher Sahib however, sent a note of thanks to Feroze sahib along with flowers. Twice Fardeen invited our director and the cast to a dinner, but Mubasher sahib declined, as we were busy shooting.
